VISUAL: Chris Mackenzie, CEO, Opaque Holographic speaks to camera. When he speaks, his words appear on screen in large coloured captions.
CHRIS MACKENZIE SPEAKS: If we created a virtual world that's better than the one we exist in now, I think that's an interesting question because I think we could discuss for a little while what is better, but in terms of if people want to get sucked into an inviting world, and they don't want to come out, that's a really interesting question.
VISUAL: Stefan Greuter, Director, Centre for Game Design Research RMIT University speaks to camera. When he speaks, his words appear on screen in large coloured captions.
STEFAN GREUTER SPEAKS: Actually think we need to look after the real world, first and foremost, and we should use virtual reality as a tool to make our real world better, not to try to replace it.
VISUAL: Jonathan Duckworth, Director, Creative Interventions, Art and Rehabilitative Technology laboratory speaks to camera. When he speaks, his words appear on screen in large coloured captions.
JONATHAN DUCKWORTH SPEAKS: It's about finding a balance, I think, between enjoying what virtual reality can offer, but also being cognizant of the real world, as well, and our responsibilities, I think.
VISUAL: Emily Harridge, Founder, Visual Playground speaks to camera. When she speaks, his words appear on screen in large coloured captions.
EMILY HARRIDGE SPEAKS: Well, I mean, that's quite possible. We're probably all going to be wanting to exist in these virtual worlds, and who knows? You could probably get lost in it.
VISUAL: Chris Mackenzie, CEO, Opaque Holographic speaks to camera. When he speaks, his words appear on screen in large coloured captions.
CHRIS MACKENZIE SPEAKS: There are some people who go there and they meet their wives, or husbands. They meet friends from countries they've never been to, and it's a deeply social experience. I think it's a double-edged coin, I think it's going to amplify good qualities, and bring out our bad ones, too.
VISUAL: Fades to RMIT logo, with white text on a black screen.
AUDIO: Ambient music fades out.
