AUDIO: We call the different ways you can get from one program to another, "pathways" because they are like steps on the path to reaching your goal.
TEXT ON SCREEN: Pre-university study……English
AUDIO: One of the first steps you can take is improving your English skills by studying English at RMIT. Then, RMIT offers different levels of study.

- English
- VCE (Australian Year 12) or Foundation Studies
VIISUAL: The word “English” is written on the first step, and the words “ VCE (Australian Year 12) or Foundation Studies” written on the second step
AUDIO: You can choose to study VCE, which is our Year 12 high school certificate, or foundation studies which can help you meet the entry requirements for further study at RMIT.

- Certificate
- Diploma
- Advanced Diploma
VISUAL: The word “Certificate” is written on the first step, “Diploma” on the second step, and “Advanced Diploma” on the third step.
AUDIO: Or, you may need to start with a certificate, diploma, or advanced diploma.
These are called vocational studying because they are hands-on, job-focused and help prepare you for work.

- Associate degree
- Bachelor degree
- Honours degree
VISUAL: “Associate degree’ is written on the first step, “Bachelor degree” on the second step, and “Honours degree” on the third step.
AUDIO: Some of these pathways can also give you credit reducing the time it takes to complete your Bachelor degree.

The following instructions will assist you to control the video player using the keyboard.
Starting and stopping the video
- Use the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination to navigate the video player controls.
- Navigate to the Play button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between play and pause.
Closed captions
- Navigate to the closed captions button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to open the closed captions menu.
- Navigate to the preferred close captions option using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to activate the close caption option.
Volume
- Navigate to the volume slider using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the left or right arrow to decrease and increase the volume.
Full screen
- Navigate to the full screen button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between full screen video and normal size.
