Network RMIT
Network RMIT is your exclusive new digital alumni community. This is your space to interact, participate, and inspire each other through mentoring and shared experience.
TEXT ON SCREEN: NetworkRMIT.com
WOMAN SPEAKS: Network RMIT is a place where over 400,000 alumni can come together and connect globally.
VISUAL: Clusters of boxes come together to form unified groups. The different boxes continue to light up in different colours, representing different networks.
WOMAN SPEAKS: It’s an online platform that bridges the gap between university… and industry.
VISUAL: The boxes fall downwards and form a bridge structure. In the background we see a stroke illustration showing a park. A young man rides a bike across the bridge. The camera follows him. As we follow the man, the background changes from a park/university setting into a more corporate cityscape.
WOMAN SPEAKS: Networking can be a chore — but with Network RMIT, you can find classmates, future employers, and last year’s graduates, for help with just about anything.
VISUAL: Check list graphic with a tick box appears. Then the camera pans downward and we see different characters in UI panels, waving and interacting with one another. We continue to pan downwards till we land on a single characters profile who smiles and look directly at the camera.
WOMAN SPEAKS: It’s a safe and collaborative space to spread your wings… where you can see at a glance if someone is willing to help and in what way, with a powerful and detailed search tool.
VISUAL: The characters profile shrinks and moves to the top left of the frame. A UI panel appears and text begins to type into a search panel. Different profile icons fill the UI panel and then a mouse selects one of the profiles and a character icon pops out from it. We see a search field. The following options drop below: Willing to help, Company, Industry, Campus, Location.
WOMAN SPEAKS: If you need advice on entering the job market, your next career move, or how to handle a tricky boss.
VISUAL: Different RMIT pixel shapes begin to balance in a column. The shapes wobble slightly on top of one another. We have three different headings: ‘How to enter the job market, your next career move, and how to handle a tricky boss’, appear one after the other.
WOMAN SPEAKS: RMIT alumni are there to lend a hand.
VISUAL: The tower of shapes morph into cubes which stabilises the column. Different columns of cubes begin to grow beside the original column and at the top we see different people from different industries, highlighting that Network RMIT is relevant across different verticals.
A closed panel enters the screen. A letter/invitation appears from it, as if it were a digital mailbox. ‘Graduate opportunities’ is the main text. A new letter slides out showing a new profile. The text swipes from “graduate” to “internship”. The same motion repeat and we see another new profile slide upwards from the panel. The text “Internship” is replaced with the word “Research”.
WOMAN SPEAKS: There’s also exclusive access to graduate jobs, and you’re the first to know about new internships and research opportunities both inside RMIT, and out.
VISUAL: We zoom out and we see various boxes, referencing the different students and alumni members. Text appears inside the box, reading “inside RMIT” and says “and out” outside the confines of the box.
WOMAN SPEAKS: You’ll be kept in the loop. With local meet-ups and RMIT social events appearing straight to your feed.
VISUAL: We see a network of connections being built up and bold text reading “Networking opportunities”. The ‘networking’ lines flow into a mobile phone. As it enters the phone, a feed of events begins to self-scroll on the phone screen. Simultaneously, text reading “straight to your feed” appears beside the phone.
WOMAN SPEAKS: And it’s all linked to your existing social accounts, which makes networking as simple as joining.
VISUAL: A hand scrolls down and we see different social media accounts such as Facebook, twitter, linkedin and instagram.
WOMAN SPEAKS: Network RMIT.
VISUAL: We cut to a character looking at her phone. As she finishes tapping her phone, we have a doctor, scientist, engineer and designer appear beside her.
WOMAN SPEAKS: Your community, connected.
VISUAL: We cut to the final screen, which reads Network RMIT in bold text and the Network RMIT domain.
