This video will show you how to create an assignment group in canvas for an assessment item. An assignment group will allow two assignment entries in canvas for each assessment task. Each entry will feature a rubric in our case this means one rubric to first assess for competency against the unit and determine whether the task has been completed to a satisfactory standard and secondly to allow you to provide feedback for grading. I'll show you the steps and you can follow along first create a group and title it with the name of your assignment. Next we need to name each assignments entry create your first assignment entry in the group this is for determining satisfactory performance and should be named in the format as shown. Be sure to include the words competency rubric satisfactory not satisfactory in brackets at the end of the name. Now create your second assignment entry in the group this is providing feedback for braiding once satisfactory performance is achieved and should be named in the format shown be sure to include the words grading rubric in brackets at the end of the name ensure both entries have the same due date. You should now see a named assignment group containing two canvass entries with identical due dates however it's important to remember that students will only submit to the first assignment entry with the competency rubric satisfactory not satisfactory at the end of the name.
