Element 5: 'Teaching team or staff details' page

Element number Five.

So in this video we're going to teach you how to update your teaching team or staff details page. To start off you need to be in your modules area and navigate to the teaching team or staff details page that you have there in your "Welcome to course" module.

As you can see on this page we have some details already and we want to add or we can edit some details as well. To do that, select edit I want to first add a picture of myself to my staff page. So I'm going to select the area that I want to put my image, move to images, press upload a new image, choose a file, select your image, press upload and your image will appear.

We can also change some of the details just by highlighting the text and typing it in. Add in a little bit of a brief bio about yourself as well. Make sure you add some specific contact information about yourself - so not just how to contact you but when also is the best time. When you're done with all that scroll down and press save.

We have our Teaching Team page, your staff photo, name, your role, contact information, where people can find you or get in contact with you if they need and a little bit about yourself.

All done, saved and that's Element Number Five.

Video player instructions

The following instructions will assist you to control the video player using the keyboard.

Starting and stopping the video

  1. Use the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination to navigate the video player controls.
  2. Navigate to the Play button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  3. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between play and pause.

Closed captions

  1. Navigate to the closed captions button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  2. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to open the closed captions menu.
  3. Navigate to the preferred close captions option using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  4. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to activate the close caption option.

Volume

  1. Navigate to the volume slider using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  2. Press the left or right arrow to decrease and increase the volume.

Full screen

  1. Navigate to the full screen button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  2. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between full screen video and normal size.
