She's going to help us understand why we need to provide evidence of student eligibility before enrolling and how to do it.
Nat: Verifying your citizenship ensures that you enrolled in the right program and also ensures that you actually have the right type of fee assistance. So you can't enrol in courses until you confirm your residency and citizenship status.
AJ: Now here's what you need to do.
Nat: So make sure you have your current Australian or New Zealand passport handy. If you don't have any of those things there are some other acceptable documents you can provide.
AJ: Such as like your Australian birth certificate.
Nat: or your citizenship certificate.

AJ: Now that you've got your passport handy. It's time to log onto Enrolment Online.

Nat: Now it's time to complete your Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment and agree to your training plan.

AJ: Then we move on to confirmation of eligibility.

AJ: You'll need to answer some questions about your education history and citizenship.

Passport Number, Expiry Date
Nat: And provide evidence like your passport number and expiry date.

AJ: Your name at enrolment needs to be your legal name. So the same name as in your passport.
Nat: That's really important. So now you have the chance to check that it's correct.
AJ: And update them in the system. Now sit back and wait while the team assesses your eligibility.

Nat: And if they have any questions they'll give you a call.

AJ: You'll receive an email when your eligibility has been assessed.

Nat: And then you'll need to log back into enrolment online to accept your outcome.

AJ: And then you can continue with your enrolment.
Nat: If you're assessed as eligible you are now in a government subsidised place.
AJ: Which has a discounted fee.
Nat: If your program is approved for a Victorian free TAFE place.
AJ: This will be assessed too.
Nat: However, this does not guarantee that you've secured a VET student loan.

Starting and stopping the video

Closed captions
- Navigate to the closed captions button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to open the closed captions menu.
- Navigate to the preferred close captions option using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to activate the close caption option.
Volume
- Navigate to the volume slider using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the left or right arrow to decrease and increase the volume.
Full screen
- Navigate to the full screen button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
- Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between full screen video and normal size.
