Pete and Yoko are the first joint nominees for the Ralph McIntosh Medal.

It wasn't difficult to select them, because they really are a standout in the program. So, they ran that studio on Indigenous nation building for three years. By the time I nominated them for the medal it was already obvious the impact that their work had had.

It is about all the people that have worked on this with us.

To catalyse discussions and possibilities of how Indigenous sovereignty can be central to teaching for everybody.

It's a bit of a response from RMIT to our work and to signal that this work matters and this work is important.

Her true interest always lies in figuring out what's the issue at hand.

She's not interested in only listening to the positive spin. She wants to know how to resolve things. And also, she thinks about the long-term benefit for the university. That sort of approach to work really provided me with a learning opportunity. It makes me want to be better and create more positive impact for the University.

I am more conscious and mindful about being inclusive and collaborative, in working with my colleagues, and especially in these days there's a lot of changes happening. I felt that I really have to support my colleagues and helping them understand the greater goals of RMIT.
