How to present wired/wirelessly

So, let's take a look at a few essentials on how to get the most out of your Skype meetings.

To present in a room, first we need to select our source on the room panel. To do this, press more, then select room control and choose whether you wish to present wired or wirelessly. If you are on a call already, you will find the same option in the bottom right-hand corner.

To add your device as a wireless source, type the address shown on the screen in your room into your air media application and type in the code shown below when prompted. Alternatively, you can use the cables provided in your room and plug in directly.

Now, if you're remotely connecting to a Skype call and you want to share the contents of your screen, simply move your mouse to the bottom centre of the screen, select the monitor button and select share your desktop or share your programs. And when you're ready to stop, simply select the stop sharing button at the top centre of your screen or click the bottom centre button again. You will find this same button to stop sharing on the room panel for any Skype enabled meeting room here.

And there you have it. Now you should be able to get the most out of your Skype calls.

Video player instructions

The following instructions will assist you to control the video player using the keyboard.

Starting and stopping the video

  1. Use the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination to navigate the video player controls.
  2. Navigate to the Play button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  3. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between play and pause.

Closed captions

  1. Navigate to the closed captions button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  2. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to open the closed captions menu.
  3. Navigate to the preferred close captions option using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  4. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to activate the close caption option.

Volume

  1. Navigate to the volume slider using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  2. Press the left or right arrow to decrease and increase the volume.

Full screen

  1. Navigate to the full screen button using the Tab or Shift + Tab keyboard combination.
  2. Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle between full screen video and normal size.
