Publish/unpublish pages and modules
Speaker: Marcus Pocaro
Hi there! In this video we're going to show you how to publish an unpublish content in your course. We'll also show you how to check what students can and can't see using the student view.
So starting from the modules area, if you want to publish a page, select the grey circle until it becomes a green tick. This means it's now published. Do this for all the pages that you want the students to see.
You can also do this from within a page. Select publish, or click published again to unpublish it. In this case we want it to be published.
If we go back to our modules now, you'll notice that the pages are published, but the module itself isn't. You'll need to publish the module as well if you want those pages to become visible.Click the publish button and it's now published.
If everything in the module is unpublished and you publish the module, all the pages within that module will then become published. This is a quick way to publish everything you want.
So now we've published our welcome module I want to double check what the students can and can't see. To do this we're going to use the student view. So if you go over to your settings, and click student view. We've now entered the student view.
While you're in student view you'll have a purple bar at the bottom of the screen to remind you where you are. Go to the module section, and here we can see exactly what pages the students can see.
Once you've confirmed that students can see exactly what you want them to see, you can press leave student view to go back to your normal editing mode.
Thank you for watching. Good luck!
