Peter and Yoko, in their teaching, have always demonstrated strong passion.

But when they came together to do the Indigenous Nation Building Studios, effectively, it just formed a great partnership. But also, they were prepared to actually go--
TEXT ON SCREEN: Courage, Imagination.
-- step out of the box and actually work with Indigenous elders directly in the studio--
TEXT ON SCREEN: Inclusion.
-- and bringing young people into an authentic relationship with Indigenous sovereignty.
By the time I nominated them for the medal, it was already obvious the impact that their work had had.

The work lives sort of between the way we've collaborated, absolutely. Right from the start, the way that we've worked and collaborated--

-- and the things we've surprised each other with and challenged each other with, it is about the sort of relationship and the, you know, the friendship and the respect as colleagues that Yoko and I have.

I'm passionate about higher education, you know, in RMIT. And in my in my primary role, as the principal advisor for Global Business and Projects, I live and breathe those values in that--

-- I am very culturally aware, inclusive and also to be-- you know, to work on a project you've got to be--
TEXT ON SCREEN: Imagination, Courage.
-- imaginative and strategic and have the courage to persevere. So, that's all part of the day's work for me. And especially in these days, there's a lot of changes happening.
TEXT ON SCREEN: Agility.
I felt that I really have to support my colleagues and helping them to understand the greater goals of RMIT.

The leadership behaviour that I saw Chris demonstrate was really reflecting on that value of--

-- inclusion within their work, the Property Services Portfolio, and all the things that they deliver in terms of the campus facilities and services. And say, well, how can I live out that value within my work?
You know the gender inclusive toilets, the flying of rainbow flags and all sorts of things that contribute to--
TEXT ON SCREEN: Impact.
-- sending that very real signal of welcoming and inclusion.
Well, I like to see us recognising that how we go about our work is just as important as what we do. And, for me, that really is positioning the university values.
