Timetabling at RMIT is a simple process that you can do online using myTimetable. We're going to take you through the basics now.
Before you can timetable, you need to enrol in all your courses for the upcoming semester. After you've done this, go to the RMIT Students webpage to find out when and how timetabling works. It's really important to note the dates and times to complete each step.
For higher education courses, timetabling works on the preferential model. This means RMIT considers your class preferences when allocating you to classes. You can timetable in three easy steps.
First, log into myTimetable to plan what classes you want. Next, enter your class preferences. Make sure you do this before the deadline or RMIT will automatically allocate you to classes. myTimetable closes while RMIT sorts all preferences.
After preferences are sorted, you can see the classes you've been allocated. If you want, you can then adjust your classes on a 'first in, first served' basis. For example, if you didn't get all your preferences or your circumstances changed since you entered your preferences.
And that's it, you've got your personal class timetable at RMIT. If you need any help, contact RMIT Connect.
