STEPH TANTI SPEAKS: My name’s Steph Tanti. I studied a Bachelor of Business with a major in Entrepreneurship at RMIT University. Um, also had a major in management, but predominantly focused on entrepreneurial subjects.
VISUAL: Steph leaning on a sunny balcony ballistrade with a view into a canopy of trees.
STEPH TANTI VOICEOVER: What is entrepreneurship? And the first thing you’ll learn is that it’s different in everyone’s eyes.
VISUAL: Return to Steph sitting on a chair in front of banners.
STEPH TANTI SPEAKS: But I guess, to me, it’s someone who seeks change, and someone who is constantly looking out for opportunities or ways to either make situations better, you know, whether it’s themselves, or other people.
VISUAL: Steph sitting at a desk with a man, writing in a note pad.
STEPH TANTI VOICEOVER: You know, how can you contribute as an individual to what’s going on in the world.
VISUAL: Return to Steph sitting on a chair in front of banners.
STEPH TANTI SPEAKS: I remember being in Year 12 and looking though, you know, the guides that they give you to select a course, and i saw, the entrepreneurship course, and i guess it was the course itself that drew me to RMIT. Um, very few universities offer a similar course.
VISUAL: Steph sitting down typing on a computer, then a close up of her face, followed by her writing on a notepad.
STEPH TANTI SPEAKS: And, i guess, to me, it was the just the most pleasing at the time. It offered me the opportunity to start my own business if i wanted to, as well as, you know, getting exposed to, real industy experience.
VISUAL: Steph standing on the sunny balcony again, with another man and trees in the background, followed by a scene of a modern and busy classroom
STEPH TANTI VOICEOVER: And I guess that’s one of the things about RMIT that’s better than other universities.
VISUAL: Return to Steph sitting on a chair in front of banners.
STEPH TANTI SPEAKS: Is that they offer industry experience, so they really do give you opportunities that other universities can’t provide.
