Latest edition of alumni magazine released at sell-out event
The third edition of the digital RMIT Alumni Magazine has been launched at a sold-out event at the National Gallery of Victoria’s “Shifting Gear” exhibition.

More than 300 alumni attended the exclusive event at the NGV's Shifting Gear exhibition, celebrating RMIT's role in Australia's unique history of automobile design and engineering.
Officially launched by screenwriting alum Graeme Simsion, the career edition of the RMIT Alumni Magazine includes interviews with alumni from a range of backgrounds; discovering not only how they got to where they are in their careers, but what success means to them.
Simsion, who received an honorary doctorate from RMIT in 2014, shared his inspirational story of mid-life career change – going from IT professional to best-selling author and Hollywood screenwriter of The Rosie Project.
The magazine also features interviews with RMIT’s new Vice-Chancellor and President, Martin Bean CBE; Amy Vale, Head of Global Business Marketing at Spotify; and Chau Huyen Nguyen, who quit the corporate world to start a tech-savvy charity in Vietnam.
The innovative RMIT Alumni Magazine was launched in 2014 as an online platform for graduates to connect with the University and the alumni community.
As with previous editions, alumni were involved in all stages of magazine production - including photographers Emma Phillips and Peter Rad.
It is available to read on your mobile, tablet or desktop computer and includes opportunities to connect to RMIT and continue your lifelong learning.
