RMIT Activator is an initiative that helps current students, staff and researchers grow successful start-up ventures.
It builds on the University’s rich history of attracting and developing entrepreneurial talent.
By providing participants with real-world skills in enterprise creation, it will also give them a distinct advantage with employers.
For anybody who is “start-up minded” – from opening a pop-up store to establishing a social venture, commercialising research or developing the next big tech idea – RMIT Activator can help.
Participants will be immersed in the start-up world in a supportive and collaborative environment, where their ideas will be explored, robust plans developed and connections to industry expertise nurtured.
Renzo Scacco, Director of RMIT Activator, is excited by the far-reaching potential of the initiative.
“RMIT has a rich history of attracting and developing entrepreneurial talent,” he said.
“RMIT Activator is the cornerstone of our enterprise and entrepreneurial strategy, and a logical step to harness the great ideas within our student body.”
A core element of RMIT Activator is the Summer Start program, where students with a great idea will be immersed in the start-up world. The potential of their ideas will be thoroughly explored through workshops and online learning.
RMIT Activator is available to currently enrolled RMIT students, staff and researchers based in Australia.
