RMIT and the University of Oxford join forces

RMIT, in partnership with the Saïd Business School University of Oxford have delivered a National Leadership and Competitiveness program for 22 participants from the Omani Government.

The study visit took place from 6 - 9 February 2018 and focused on educating the Omani participants as to how Victoria has built effective public-private partnerships and effectively implemented the practice of productivity and prosperity in public sector service delivery to sustain a business-friendly environment.

During the three day program, the Omani participants visited private companies and government agencies involved in the development of public-private partnerships and undertook site visits to the Victorian Desalination Plant, Royal Children's Hospital, City-Link Tullamarine project and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The participants were exposed to unique learning experiences through industry case studies and insights, echoing the Omani government's commitment to job creation and sustainability. 

Senior Manager Business Development, College of Business Executive Education, Susan Barr praised the success of the partnership,

"This was an exciting opportunity for RMIT Executive Education to work in partnership with SAID Business School and Oxford University and the 22 participants from the Omani Government,” Ms Barr said.

“The support of the Victorian Government and their endorsement of RMIT's capability to deliver this program and the excellent cross-university collaboration contributed significantly to the success of the program".
