RMIT’s Interim Vice-Chancellor

RMIT’s Interim Vice-Chancellor

The tenure of RMIT’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Martin Bean CBE ended on 30 June 2021, after more than six years.

The search for his successor is well underway but in order to ensure continuity of leadership, RMIT Council endorsed the appointment of an Interim Vice-Chancellor and invited Ms Dionne Higgins to step into this role.

Dionne is a highly regarded member of the Vice Chancellor’s Executive, having been Chief Operating Officer since 2016. She assumed the role of Interim Vice-Chancellor on July 1, continuing until a permanent successor is in place.
