Apple has issued a global operating system upgrade for iPhones and iPads after researchers found three previously undisclosed software weaknesses.
The gaps in the system’s defences were detected when researchers examined a new form of spyware that would allow a hacker to take complete control of the devices.
Dr Mark Gregory, a senior lecturer in network engineering in RMIT’s School of Engineering, is an expert on internet security and telecommunication networks.
