Dr Karyn Bosomworth
Dr Bosomworth’s research focuses on climate change adaptation, public policy and adaptive governance, disaster risk management, institutional and frame analysis, and the research policy interface.
Climate change adaptation in public policy; environmental management.
Her collaborative project with the University of Tasmania, Melbourne and Monash Universities and a cluster of nine Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) across Tasmania, coastal Victoria and into the southern rivers region of NSW entitled Southern Slopes Climate Change Adaptation Research Partnership (SCARP) is funded through the federal National Resource Management (NRM) Fund.
After reviewing and reporting on models and methods for assessing the contribution of research to policy, Dr Bosomworth is undertaking a trial of an identified framework with the Victorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI), Fire and Emergency Management Division.
Dr Bosomworth was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2015 and is based in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies.
