Our materials and manufacturing research focusses on process control, materials design and development, process modelling and material characterisation.
We undertake high-quality research of international standing and aim to:
- Generate intellectual property and provide detailed technical assessment and analysis of additive manufacturing approaches for industry partners.
- Provide advice to business, government, and non-government organisations
- Research into 3D printing or additive manufacturing of components in advanced materials such as high performance metals, plastics and composites. By transitioning from rapid-prototyping to full-scale manufacturing of customized functional products and parts directly from design, we have removed the need for tooling.
- Organise conferences, workshops and discussion on 3D printing technologies and applications of relevance to industry and government organisations.
