The Centre for Art, Society and Transformation (CAST) researches how art transforms human communities within an age of rapid urbanisation and globalisation.
CAST builds on practice-led research in art and public space, using practical, curatorial and theoretical methodologies. Its researchers examine art’s capacity for social engagement and power to foster local, regional and international creative partnerships and networks.
We investigate the transformative capacities of art to interpret and affect communities in the age of rapid urbanisation and globalisation through practice-led research.Research areas
