RMIT's Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Remediation undertakes high-quality research of international standing.
Our work includes research:
to explain environmental processes, the nature of urban pollution, methods of pollution degradation and use risk assessments to contextualise exposure into sustainable solutions for managing environmental problems and pollution, in collaboration with national and international industry to inform and advise effective state and national government policy and practice.
Based at RMIT’s City and Bundoora campuses, our team of more than 25 researchers are supported by our extensive research facilities including state-of the art analytical equipment for testing a wide range of organic and inorganic pollutants, metals/metalloids and particulates.
Our environmental testing facilities cover water, soil, air and biological matrices, ecotoxicology, microbiology, biochemistry, metagenomics and natural products analysis.
