This key non/fictionLab project is a collaboration that engages directly with the experience of living, playing and working in Melbourne’s CBD.
It relates to young people who are homeless and disadvantaged participating in STREAT’s programs. It aims to foster a meaningful sense of belonging and connection through the making and distribution of place-based urban stories and poetic expression as a way to create prospects for social change for city dwellers and their communities. (2015-2017). The Framing Stage of this project saw a STREAT/RMIT map of Melbourne CBD being distributed as wrapping paper in Melbourne Central. Advances were made to develop this project as a joint venture with The Institute for Resilient Regions in the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Sciences, The University of Southern Queensland.
