RMIT Activator is the brand new destination for start-ups! It is designed to help students grow successful start-up ventures and will provide participants with real world skills in enterprise creation.

RMIT Launchpad is a dynamic new social media platform – a ‘one-stop shop’ for RMIT students, alumni, staff and industry partners to launch, learn and lead their careers or businesses, where you can:

  • find information about launching your own business;
  • connect with other student and alumni entrepreneurs;
  • learn about the business successes, products and services of our student and alumni entrepreneurs;
  • improve your employment prospects by connecting with potential employers and industry professionals;
  • access up-to-date information about a range of entrepreneurial activities, events and programs; and,
  • support and/or shop for RMIT alumni and student products and services.

This 12 credit point elective is designed to provide you with business skills to successfully develop and start up your own business in the creative industries. You will also develop pitching skills for marketing your business or for pitching for employment.

Indigenous Business Creation Scholarships

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples considering self employment to undertake the Certificate IV in Small Business Management, develop a business plan, and gain 12 months mentor support whilst operating their businesses.

Entrepreneur Summer School

An intensive summer school that allows you to combine your passion and learning new skills in finance, marketing and management. The aim is to develop a viable business plan to help create a successful enterprise. Upon successful completion you will be awarded a Certificate IV in Small Business Management (BSB40415). Limited places - commenced in January 2016.
