In2science places science and maths mentors from RMIT University, La Trobe University, The University of Melbourne and Swinburne University of Technology into secondary schools to mentor Grade 8 and 9 students in maths and science.

Mentors visit the same class for 2-3 hours a week for a placement of 10-11 weeks during semester. Mentors are matched with schools based on university timetables, where mentors live and what mentors are studying.
