This session gives an overview of all the things you need to think about when publishing a journal article.

Learning outcomes

This overview of things you need to think about when publishing a journal article ranges from finding the most appropriate journals and writing the article, through to publishing protocols, responding to peer-review reports and dealing with the final proofs.

By the end of this workshop you should have a better understanding of how the academic publishing system works; how to target the right journals; how to structure your article, and; how to handle the submission and peer review process.

Note: This was previously the 'Writing a journal article' workshop.

Designed for

All higher degrees by research candidates regardless of their discipline or the stage of their thesis.
