Staying connected and having meaningful conversations is something we can all do. You don't need to be an expert - just a great mate and a good listener. R U OK? Day is a national day of action aimed at inspiring all Australians to ask family, friends and colleagues, ‘Are you ok?’

This year RMIT is holding events to mark R U OK? Day on 12, 13 and 14 September across Brunswick, Bundoora and City campuses. Yes! - We are stretching R U OK? Day out this year!

R U OK? Day Event – Brunswick

What: Free food, give-aways, important information, lucky dip prizes, interactive R U OK? activities and a limited number of free coffee vouchers to share with your mates

When: Tuesday 12 September, 12 to 1.30pm

Where: Located alongside the RUSU Chill and Grill event, 514 Court Yard, Brunswick Campus

R U OK? Day Events – Bundoora

Free Pancake Breakfast for Residents

What: Walert House residents are invited to join a free R U OK? Day pancake breakfast. Come along, enjoy great company and share yummy food!

SpeedFriend Event – RMIT Training

What: Make new friends and connections for R U OK day! SpeedFriend is a chance for RMIT English Worldwide and Foundation students to meet new friends, socialise, practise English, and get to know each other in a fun, informal and friendly environment.

Tickets are FREE, but bookings are essential. Register now!

Wear Yellow Competition – RMIT Training

What: RMIT Training is running a Facebook competition through their Pathways Student Club group. Join the Pathways Student club to make new friends, explore Melbourne and have fun! 

All you need to do is wear yellow and share your answer to the R U OK? Day question posted in the group to be in the chance to win! The student with the best response to the “How to start a conversation” question along with a photo of themselves wearing yellow/orange will win two movie vouchers!

When: Post your response and photos on R U OK? day Thursday 14 September. Closing date and time for submissions is Friday 15 September at 12pm.
