Withdraw from a course after census date but before academic penalty date

Contact an OUA Student Advisor who’ll be able to help you withdraw from or swap a course.

If you withdraw from a course after census date, you'll still have to pay tuition for the course.

  • If you are in a Commonwealth supported place, you can find the tuition cost of your course in your invoice at Enrolment Online.
  • If you are not in a Commonwealth supported place, you can find the tuition cost of your course in your invoice in the OUA Student Hub.

Withdraw from a course after academic penalty date.

If you want to withdraw from a course after academic penalty date, you’ll need to submit your withdrawal request as an enquiry via the RMIT Connect online portal.

Please make the subject line of the enquiry ‘OUA request to withdraw from a course after academic penalty date’ and include the following information:

  • your RMIT student number
  • the name of the course you wish to withdraw from
  • the course code of the course you wish to withdraw from, if known
  • and the OUA study period or session in which you are currently enrolled.
