The e-Grad School (Australia) (eGSA) provides Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates with online-accessible activities and resources that are specifically designed for early career researchers.

Modules are free to all RMIT HDR candidates regardless of location, but limited to 15 candidates per module. Each module has a maximum time commitment of 5 weeks and you can register up to 2 modules per semester.

If you fail to complete a module, you will ineligible to participate for other modules for a period of 12 months.

You can access the modules via an unmoderated self-learning pathway or choose a moderated module where you will work together with a moderator who facilitates learning and communication within the group.

These employability skills modules allow you to work online with a highly qualified moderator facilitating interaction and provide opportunities to engage in the activities and content of the employment-related modules and to build up relationships with colleagues beyond your home university.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completing these modules.

ATN LEAP modules cover these employability skills:

  • entrepreneurship
  • global sustainability
  • leadership and communication
  • research commercialisation
  • project management.

These online research methodology modules are about issues identified as being of paramount importance to early researchers. You can participate in these self-paced modules independently or choose to use the models together with your supervisors for discussion and engagement.

  • developing your career
  • critical and creative thinking
  • practice-led research in creative arts, media and design.
