If your enrolment has been cancelled for any reason (e.g. you have voluntarily discontinued or have been discontinued for failing to enrol), before you have reached your maximum completion date, you may apply for readmission within maximum duration. This can occur at any time within three years of your enrolment cancellation date.
This will allow you to enrol with the same amount of time remaining in your candidature as you had when you discontinued your enrolment. Please note that if you are a fee paying candidate, you will be liable for fees for each research quarter that you are enrolled.
If you would like to apply for readmission within maximum duration, you will need to submit an application for admission through the RMIT University Application Service.
If you do not submit your thesis or project before your maximum completion date, and do not have an approved extension beyond maximum duration, your enrolment will be cancelled for exceeding maximum duration.
If you have voluntarily discontinued at the end of your candidature, or have been cancelled for exceeding maximum duration, you may apply for readmission for examination at any time within three years of your enrolment cancellation date.
There are no fees associated with readmission for examination, even if you were a fee paying candidate during your enrolment.
If you would like to apply for readmission for submission, please refer to section 5 of the Thesis/project submission and examination process.
