Notification of completion

Once you submit your final archival thesis or project to the digital repository (Equella), a recommendation will be made to the Dean of the School of Graduate Research (SGR) that you be formally admitted to the degree.

Upon approval of this recommendation, SGR will then send you a Statement of Academic Completion (SAC).

The University will also send the following documents after graduation:

Graduating

You will need to apply to graduate to receive your testamur. You may elect to attend a graduation ceremony or graduate in absentia. If you attend a graduation ceremony, you will receive your testamur at the ceremony. If you elect to graduate in absentia, you will receive your testamur by registered mail.

Important dates

Friday 14 July 2017

  • final date for students to submit their final archival thesis/project to the School of Graduate Research in order to be eligible to participate in an offshore ceremony
  • final date for doctoral citations to be submitted to the School of Graduate Research for inclusion in the offshore ceremony graduation program.

Friday 3 November 2017

  • final date for students to submit their final archival thesis/project to the School of Graduate Research in order to be eligible to participate in the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony
  • final date for doctoral citations to be submitted to the School of Graduate Research for inclusion in the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony program.
