To access myRMIT and online Library resources, you need to log in to the RMIT network with your RMIT username and password.

  •  Your RMIT username is the letter ‘s’ followed by your RMIT student number
  • Your default password is the letter ‘p’, followed by your date of birth backwards with an exclamation mark (!) at the end. Example: if your date of birth is 8 April 1992, your password would be p19920408!

After you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to create a new password

Your new password must:

  • be at least 8 characters in length
  • not be one of your previous 15 passwords
  • contain characters from three of the following four categories:
    • English uppercase characters (A through Z).
    • English lowercase characters (a through z).
    • Numeral digits (0 through 9).
    • Non-alphabetic characters ( ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * _ - + = ` | \ ( ) { } [ ] : ; " ' < > , . /). Do not use & or ? because these characters are not supported by some systems.

You will also be prompted to create a challenge question to which only you know the answer. This will allow you to reset your password in case you forget it.
