Global Talent Visa Program for International PhD Students

The Global Talent Visa Program is a streamlined visa pathway. This visa grants permanent Residence in Australia giving you full access to government services.

RMIT in partnership with the Department of Home Affairs is holding a webinar to speak about and explain the program pathway for international students who have completed a PhD study in Australia or are currently enrolled in one. 

You will be provided with comprehensive information about :

  • The requirements to obtain a Global Talent Visa
  • How the Department selects eligible graduates
  • What you can do to maximise your chance to be granted this visa

About the visa

The subclass 858 Global Talent visa is a permanent visa. The visa allows you to remain in Australia permanently, have full access to government services, sponsor relatives to migrate to Australia and allows access to Australian Citizenship. 

The department is also presenting information related to the subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visa, General Skilled Migration (the points tested visas) and staying lawful and using the Visa Entitlement Online (VEVO) system.

Who is this program for? 

To be eligible to participate in this program, you must be an RMIT international student and have completed a PhD in Australia or are currently enrolled in one.

 

This event is funded by the Victorian Government, through Study Melbourne.
