Opening Event - Pride Week

Join us in opening this year's annual Pride Week with words from RMIT's DGSS student and staff leaders, morning tea and mingling.

Speakers will include:

  • Patrick Pieciun (he/they) - RUSU Queer Officer
  • Reggie Chang (they/them) - RUSU Queer Officer
  • Dene Cicci (he/him) - Executive Director, Students Group and RMIT's DGSS Executive Sponsor
  • Ellie Watts (she/they) - Relationship Manager, Pride in Diversity

RMIT Pride Week (22-26 August 2022) is about raising awareness of issues and barriers to inclusion, creating spaces of belonging and sharing stories that connect us.

Together, students, staff and alumni of RMIT share a commitment to the inclusion of our LGBTIQA+ community.

Location

Room 008.04.011 Megaflex, City Campus

To reflect the diversity of our community beyond the ‘LGBTIQA+’ label, RMIT also uses the terminology people of ‘diverse genders, sexes, and sexualities’ (DGSS).
