PhD Up – Succeed in Research: Goal Setting, Motivation and Habits

Discover strategies and psychological tools to help you manage stress as a HDR candidate.

Learn how to reach your study goals with psychological tools to manage stress and emotional overwhelm during your HDR journey. This session will also focus on habits, highlighting undesirable habits that may be holding you back, and new healthy habits that can propel you forward.

This workshop will help you to understand:

  • Why the struggle to change your behaviour is real
  • The neurobiology of goal setting, habits and motivation
  • How to use science-based tool to set goals
  • How to motivate yourself
  • How to recognise the unhealthy habits that may be holding you back from achieving your goals
  • How to create new healthy habits.
