Why do people say "get it together"? What is “IT”? Life often throws us challenges that can throw us off course a bit and we can feel like we lose “it” (whatever that is). This webinar will help you to find “it” and to learn strategies for when things are uncertain or life is a bit tough. We will explore ways to foster resilience in yourself and show you how it can enhance your study as well as life in general. Perhaps, you may even learn the secret to a happy life!

How to Communicate Effectively

What:

Communication! It’s the number one solution to, but also cause of many of our problems. We all want to get along better with each other and a key ingredient is how we are communicating. Nobody wants to say the wrong thing or upset others, but also, it can be a challenge to speak up for ourselves whilst allowing space for others too. This workshop is about helping to build skills around some common problems with communication such as assertiveness, negotiation, conflict resolution and managing difficult conversations.

Stress and anxiety impacts everyone. It's a part of our daily lives, and is most importantly, a normal emotion. However, being a student means expereincing unique kinds of stress at times and managing it can be challenging. Whether its facing uncertainty related to COVID-19, assessment stress, or events in your personal life - stress is going to show up.

Managing Stress & Anxiety is a 60-minute webinar designed to give students the tools to better manage their own stress and anxiety by learning more about what is stress, why we expereince it and strategies to relax.

The S Factor: Social Anxiety support (3-session webinar series)

What: 

The S Factor webinar series is designed to improve your confidence and reduce anxiety in social settings. Over 3 one-hour sessions, we will provide psychoeducation, focus on skills development, and most importantly offer support. The webinar group will provide a safe environment to reflect on your personal experiences with social anxiety. All webinars will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams. Register now.

Harness your brain power with mindfulness. In this webinar, you will learn about mindfulness and how being present can help you in all aspects of your life including study, relationships, work, and your general day-to-day functioning. Mindfulness is helpful for everyone, particularly if you experience challenging thoughts or emotions that leave you feeling stuck sometimes.

This 60 minute webinar is designed for people of all skill levels, no prior experience is necessary! 8th September is R U OK Day.

Mastering Assessment Anxiety  

What:

Assessments and exams are one of the many challenges of university life and although it is natural to feel some anxiety beforehand - it is when that anxiety causes you distress and impairs your performance that you might start to worry about it. You might experience panic/overwhelm, find it hard to breathe or think, go blank and have trouble remembering things you have revised thoroughly (but remember as soon as it is submitted) and notice yourself worrying constantly about it.

Mastering Assessment Anxiety is designed to equip you with ways to manage your anxiety so that it no longer gets in the way of success. If you have ever experienced extreme distress before or during an assessment or exam and have struggled to do well in them as a result, this webinar is designed to help you.
