How2 Get Job Ready (International Students): Australian Workplace Culture

Australian workplace culture can feel scary. This workshop will help you decipher behavioural norms, slang, dress codes and more to prepare you for working in Australia as an international student.

About this event:

  • Are you wanting to know more about Australian workplace etiquette?
  • What does it mean when an employer tells you to dress in 'smart casual'?
  • What to anticipate during the ‘onboarding process when commencing a new role?
  • How to deal with conflict or an uncomfortable situation?

This workshop will provide you with an understanding of how Australian workplaces operate, common behaviours you should expect from your colleagues and other distinctive Australian workplace cultural norms. There will be an opportunity during the workshop to ask any questions you have about etiquette in the workplace and how to navigate workplaces.
