Gain insight into the academic publishing system and learn about publishing in high quality peer-reviewed journals.

As a research degree candidate, you should be aiming to publish your research for maximum impact and exposure. Research dissemination is an essential part of research and high quality publications are looked upon favourably by examiners and can be very important for your career.

This seminar provides an overview of the academic publishing system with a focus on publishing in high quality peer-reviewed journals. We’ll examine all the issues you need to think about when planning publishing, from targeting the most appropriate journals, negotiating the submission and peer review process, through to responding to reviewer comments and handling the final proofs.
