Student competition: Top Tips for International Students

Submit your top tip for your fellow RMIT international students and go in the draw to win a Study Melbourne tote bag including a Myki card pre-loaded with $150!

Travelling to another country can be tricky, so we want to help our international students to have the best experience while living and studying in Melbourne.

You can help this by sharing what you've learnt through your own experience as an international student who has travelled to Melbourne to study with RMIT.

You can do this by filming a short video (15-20 seconds) of yourself giving the top tip that you wish you'd known when you arrived, or would like to pass on to other international students.

The 50 best entries will be selected and each successful entrant will receive a prize of one tote bag with a Myki card loaded with $150.

Eligibility

You must fulfill the following eligibility critera to participate:

  • Currently enrolled international students of RMIT University (with a valid student ID & RMIT student login)
  • Currently a resident of Victoria, Australia
  • Entrants must be at least 18 years old

What we're looking for:

Fun and engaging videos that share your top tip or piece of advice as related to one of the following themes:

  • Top tip for study or referencing
  • Your advice for looking after wellbeing
  • Top tip for finding work (part time or related to your area of study)
  • Top tip for meeting new people
  • Your favourite campus location and why
  • Your favourite thing to do on Semester break
  • A message to my first-year self: what piece of advice would you give the first-year version of yourself?
