Semester Two O Week Events

Join us for some fun on-campus entertainment and activities at your Program Induction days during Orientation Week (O Week)!

Get the right info from our friendly staff, learn about clubs and societies on offer and meet student support services.

No matter what campus you're on, there is something for everyone.

VE O Week: 7-10 July

Head to the open courtyard from 12pm to 2pm for your O Week event. The day will commence with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony at the entrance of building 514, followed by live music, floral crown making, upcycled fashion creating, roving performers and outdoor seating to enjoy your complimentary hot lunch options. 

The event will consist of:

  • Student support services, Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls
  • Live music, beanbags and chill vibes under the M Pavilion
  • Free lunch options (inc vegan options)

Head to O Grady Place and Building 78 from 12pm to 2pm for your O Week event. Get your free lunch provided by Vegilicous and meet the RMIT University Student Union (RUSU) to win a prize. 

The day will commence with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony in O Grady Place, followed by a DJ and roving performers. 

Visit Building 78 to get prepared for Student Life.

  • Meet the student support services: Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls
  • Guided campus tours: Student led, every half hour commencing from Earl Street

HE O Week: 14-17 July

Visit Building 8, 10 and 12, New Academic Street will be a hive of activity with live music, active workshops, creative long tables, photo booth, sponsor give aways, chill out area, cheap food deals and festival vibes! A perfect chance to make friends and soak up the campus atmosphere. 

Monday through to Thursday from 11am to 2pm in, the week will consist of:

  • Welcome Hub: Get the right info from our friendly student life ambassadors, and essential event partners 
  • Clubs Hub: Learn more about the all the clubs and societies on offer and upcoming events, speak directly to a variety of student club members
  • Student Life Hub: Meet Medibank, partake in hands on activities to build connection with your peers
  • Guided campus tours: Student led, every half hour

Head to the courtyard outside building 202 and 210 between 12pm to 2pm for your O Week event. The day will commence with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, followed by live acoustic music, roving performers, a variety of activities and outdoor seating to enjoy your complimentary food truck options

The event will consist of:

  • Guided campus tours: Student led, every half hour
  • Student support services: Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls
  • Live music performing your favourite classics
  • Hands on activities to build connection with your peers
  • A variety of RMIT clubs and societies, meet club members 

Head to building 514 and open courtyard between 12pm to 2pm for your O Week event. The day will commence with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony at the entrance of building 514, followed by live music, roving performers and outdoor seating to enjoy your complimentary hot lunch.

The event will consist of:

  • Guided campus tours: Student led, every half hour

  • Hands on activities to build connection with your peers
  • A variety of RMIT clubs and societies, meet club members
