iThenticate

What is iThenticate?

iThenticate is used at RMIT to assist researchers and HDR candidates in undertaking text similarity checks in research outputs including draft manuscripts, journal articles, book chapters and books, and draft theses prior to publication and/or HDR examination.

iThenticate does not save a copy of any file which is scanned to a database of sources. It protects intellectual property while allowing researchers to identify potential errors in citation and attribution. It also enables a better understanding of scholarly norms in academic writing.

How to access iThenticate?
