To assist students studying remotely from within China during 2020, RMIT is making available a temporary Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution. The Student VPN will allow students in China to more easily and quickly connect to online learning systems, including Canvas and MyDesktop.
The VPN solution does not work outside of China. It will not improve systems access for students within Australia or in overseas locations other than China.
How to access the VPN
An email with the subject line Student VPN login details and instructions will be sent to your student inbox. To access the VPN, use the login details provided to you in the email and follow the instructions in the RMIT Student VPN User Guide (instructions in English and Chinese).
The VPN will be available from 9 April until the end of Semester 2 2020.
Please note, the VPN is only available to RMIT students currently studying in China.
