We offer:

  • a listening ear
  • pastoral care, regardless of religious affiliation
  • practical care in a crisis
  • support for emotional and spiritual issues
  • a place to ask spiritual questions
  • opportunities to connect with others and your faith community
  • social events and activities to enhance your wellbeing.

Talk to a chaplain

Our chaplains are available when you find yourself struggling with life events, studies, unexpected losses and conflicts, relationships or maybe you just have something on your mind that you need to talk through.

You do not need to be someone of faith to talk to a chaplain; we are here for all of the RMIT community. Conversations with a chaplain are confidential and will not be passed on to others, unless there is a risk of harm to yourself, or others.

If you’d like to talk with a chaplain please drop in, call or email the Chaplaincy office. You can find our contact info at the top of this page.

If you know which chaplain you want to talk to, let us know when you contact us. If you want to talk to someone, but don't know who, don’t worry we will help you.

Chaplaincy assistant

Laura Kretiuk

Talk to our Chaplaincy Assistant; she is often your first point of contact at the Chaplaincy office.

Laura’s experience working in the higher education sector and TAFE spans some 20 years in which time she has worked at Victoria University, Student Administration, for 12 years and more recently at the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre for the past nine years. Her roles were varied and challenging, focused mainly on programme and course coordination, which involved working directly with students as well as a large variety of staff and external clientele.
