AV equipment loans

Choose from a wide range of audio visual equipment available for loan, free of charge. Available for select RMIT students and staff.

Please note, only students and staff belonging to Schools within the College of Design and Social Context may loan AV equipment.

Take a look at our AV Loans Catalogue (PDF, 330KB) for the full range of equipment and what you need to know about loaning from AV Loans.

To request AV equipment, fill in an AV Equipment Loan Request (login required).

This will submit a booking request only. We will contact you shortly after you make the request with availability and booking confirmation.

Collection/return times

Booking collection and return times are now by appointment only. Once we receive your booking request form, we will contact you to arrange a suitable collection and return time.

If for any reason you can not make the allotted appointment time, contact us by email or phone (see below) to arrange a new appointment time.

When you collect/return your items

When collecting and returning equipment at the AV Loans desk, please:

  • Scan our contact tracing QR code and complete all required details. Please ensure you have your mobile phone with you to do this
  • Provide your current student or staff ID card

When returning equipment, please ensure all items and accessories are returned. For example, the DSLR cameras SD card is back in the camera, power cable and charger are in the kit, and both batteries for the DSLR are in the kit.

For the convenience of the next user, please fully charge all batteries before returning them.
