Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

I’d always been interested in electronics, mostly from wiring car stereos.
The Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician course gave me a practical base to build on as well as experience in areas I may not have ever worked in.
Looking back I don’t think I’d have had the opportunities I had, or made the contacts and friends I have now, anywhere else.
The electrical test area was redesigned while I was studying so I benefitted from having access to the new work stations.
I was awarded Best 2nd year Electrical Apprentice and Best Overall Electrical Student. My advice to future students is to put in extra study outside class.
It’s your responsibility to make sure you understand the material and if you don’t, seek help. Teachers are more than willing to help you, if you make the effort.
Since graduating, I’ve started my own business and continued studying a higher qualification. My business is only small but I have big dreams. I’d also like to teach one day.
