Salman Shooshtarian
Salman is pragmatic, serious and hardworking. His research studies the interaction of users’ comfort and the physical environment of outdoor settings.
"I feel like I am contributing to an area that can improve human health and wellbeing.
"Users of both indoor and outdoor precincts need comfortable thermal conditions to maximise effectiveness. The main aim of my study is to understand the microclimate impacts of the morphological features of the urban precincts used as open space within educational campuses.
"The findings will be helpful in the creation of a thermal comfort guideline in the educational campuses across Australian cities. Furthermore, the outcome can be used as a basis for further studies which are intended to study the factors which impact the urban ecology.
"I am inspired to gain the skills I need to help me become an independent researcher and to be an effective member in the academic environment."
