Milo Fisher - Sound Production
Milo Fisher is making an impact since graduating from RMIT’s Advanced Diploma of Sound Production.
Sound Production at Bakehouse Studios
I have not only gained all the technical skills that I need, I also learned a lot of valuable skills. I now know how to prepare and promote myself for running my own business.
Milo, who now works at Bakehouse Studios, recently completed all the dialogue recording and post production sound on Australian feature film The Dream Children. The film screened at the 2015 Made in Melbourne Film Festival.
“I became involved with The Dream Children through one of RMIT's amazing teachers. He offered three students work experience on the film and I was lucky enough to be one of them. This is just one example of how accessible industry connections are made via the teachers.
“Working on the film was such a great experience! I ended up doing the post mixing. This meant I balanced the Music, SFX and Dialogue tracks for the final product. It taught me a lot of what I know about film post production and I continue to use those skills today.
“The facilities available to students in the course really prepared me for my future work! We had lots of hands-on experience with equipment that is used throughout the industry.
“My advice for future students would be to go head and apply for internships while you are studying. Interning allowed me to be involved in the day to day running of various recording studios and work with musicians that I would have not been able to work with otherwise.”
