After finishing high school, Mollie completed a Diploma in Creative Industries and the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media and now studies the Bachelor of Communication (Media) (Honours).
I have always had a passion for film and television and recently decided to pursue the academic side of the field after completing past study in the more practical components.
I’ve been studying at RMIT since I left high school in 2010 and I absolutely love it.
I completed a Diploma in Creative Industries after leaving high school, which then led me to the Screen and Media program, where I was able to get credit for the first year and come out with an Advanced Diploma. From there I was able to pathway into the Bachelor of Communication (Media), having one and half years credited. I haven’t looked back since!
My advice for someone considering studying Screen and Media is to go for every internship opportunity offered throughout the program! RMIT students are privileged to have teachers who have a lot of awesome connections in the industry, so take every chance you get as it may lead you somewhere!
RMIT is helping me prepare for a future, as it is giving me the knowledge, network and communication skills to enter into the industry. I hope to work as a teacher in tertiary education – I love what I do because it is what I am most passionate about in life!
