Digital media is much more than what you can access with a screen and keyboard, or even a mobile. Digital technologies are used to create immersive environments.
Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are exploding in popularity, being used for games, music videos, museum experiences and so much more.
In the Bachelor of Design (Digital Media), students create cutting-edge digital environments using interactive and immersive media such as mobile apps, spatial audio, projection mapping, AR and VR.
Students undertake comprehensive design and production processes from concept development to asset generation, coding and user experience testing.
Recent work-integrated learning projects with industry partners include Zoo Poo and You with the Melbourne Zoo, for which students investigated how an interactive experience can create higher public awareness about the Zoo’s waste recycling and sustainability program.
