Committed to human rights and bringing about justice for people in need, Gita enrolled into a social work degree.
I am drawn to social work because of its commitment to human rights and social justice.
The RMIT program places great emphasis on the importance of social workers being politically aware and engaged, and I feel that this is a really important element in my preparation as a social worker.
I’m learning about significant social issues both locally and globally, and the ethical concerns and debates surrounding these issues in the current political climate.
Having a social work degree will enable me to be more employable in the industry. It will open doors to roles I’m interested in and organisations I wish to work for.
