A career in the field of space technology and exploration would be a dream come true for engineering / business student Sebastian Lin.
Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours)
Bachelor of Business (Management)
My fascination with science, physics, and technology has been continuously encouraged and fostered by RMIT.
"I have been lucky in the opportunities offered through studying at RMIT. Early in my program I undertook a global experience with support from the New Colombo Plan, and spent a semester studying at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics as part of an RMIT exchange program. I also recently had the opportunity to travel overseas and represent RMIT at an international engineering competition at the University of Waterloo in Canada. These opportunities have allowed me to form professional networks all across the globe, and have exposed me to diverse cultures whilst continuously contributing to my education.
"I decided to study Engineering at RMIT as they provide professional experience and industry exposure you cannot find anywhere else. The programs here offer students the chance to have a hands-on approach to their learning, applying theory to tangible projects. In my studies, my fascination with science, physics, and technology has been continuously encouraged and fostered by RMIT.
"Earlier this year I received an Undergraduate Research Scholarship for research conducted through work-integrated learning at the Defence Science and Technology Group. It was highly beneficial to my professional development that RMIT provided support for me to engage in exciting and high-impact research with an industry partner.
"My dream career would see me playing a part in making Australia a world leader in space technology and exploration. There are an ever-growing number of opportunities in the industry, and after graduation I would like to end up in a role that utilises both my engineering and business degree."
